News of Friends, Fellow Foreigners, Others

We always knew Goodairs friend Horacio Petre (AKA Petre) was a talented illustrator; we didn't know how talented until he started a blog to show off his work. Beyond cool personal works like the "Sin Pan y Con Trabajo" (above), he's posted many of his for-cash works (hey, the kid's gotta eat). You designed the Siga La Vaca logo? All the Trapiche packaging? Not bad...

We also note that expat Scottish writer Peter Robertson sent us an interview with him in ReadySteadyBook. We don't know Peter, but we're always happy to mention former linguists for the IMF and the World Bank who now translate Argentine poets into English. Long live the unpredictable career trajectory, we say!
