As one might have surmised from our lack of posting on the blog, we've either grown incredibly bored of writing about Buenos Aires, or been out of town. Happily for those who enjoy the blog (all four of you!), we've merely been in the Land of Large (AKA the EE.UU. or, well, the US of A). We went, we enjoyed sun (and son), watched in amazement as Henry seemed to growa year in a month, and ate as much "ethnic" food as one couple can. But we're back, we're back. It's chilly here--what chucklehead arranged for that?--things are dirtier and don't quite work, but the livestyle is brilliant and people aren't wound quite as tight in career and cash. And, for perhaps the first time in history, the economy in Argentina appears healthier than the yanqui variety.

A final note for those who, like us and all former New Yorkers, are obsessed with real estate: Several researchers at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata recently published a study of Buenos Aires's neighborhoods, and the "life satisfaction" one finds in them. An interesting academic read.
