As you well know by now, we're not above tooting our own horn. So I'd like to note a two-some in Budget Travel, Cintra's recent definitive article on Buenos Aires hotels on the magazine's website, and my own piece on tango etiquette in the magazine. I also had a piece on the soul of Buenos Aires (or some such thing) in this month's Continental Airlines in-flight mag. I was at first wary of writing for an in-flight, considering how bad so many are, but the new editor there, Gail Harrington was clear that she wanted to make something better, a "real" travel mag if you will. I think she succeeded, and happily Jaunted writer Victor Ozols seems to have noticed and agreed. (A note to those looking for logrolling in our times: Ozols and I both wrote for Gridskipper back in the day, but I've never met the guy; that said, after his kind words about my piece I now think of Ozols as the most incisive magazine critic in the Western World.)
And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
The Best Thing About Buenos Aires

Ian, LES here, saw your article in continental mag. Nice job.
Thought of this post when reading Delta's Jan., 2009 issue with Remy Scalza's "Buenos Aires, in the capital of Argentina, you'll find 'la pasion'-at any of he city's steakhouses" which has some nice photos, no places I visited and makes the point, weekly, about the shift to feedlots. Hope you are well.
So refreshing to have some insight shed on milonga etiquette rather than another rundown of tango shows. We just linked your article to our blog (inspiratravelblog.blogspot.com), hope that is ok with you!
