While cruising home after dinner Tuesday eve, former economy minister Martin Lousteau got pulled into a police checkpoint, was asked to breath into the breathalizer...and was caught for a DUI. And then, as Clarín notes, he had to hand over his car just like--and you can almost hear the amazement--any private citizen. Of course, he's not in the government any more, so one doesn't now if the law extends to those in power. I somehow can't imagine Julio de Vido getting taken to the station for a cervecita too much, but I may just be cynical.
