Pingüina!

Henry is in love. Her name is Pingüina. She is a lucky little black and white kitten. Here's her story:

Back in February, friends Tim & Matt were visiting a villa miseria (shanty town) where Tim was to donate money raised from his March trek across the Atacama. Residents said an unwanted litter of kittens had been (brace yourselves for this) placed in a bag filled with rocks and tossed into the nearby toxic river. Of the bagged litter, only Pingüina survived. Not only was Pingüi nimble enough to escape drowning, she was also smart enough to pick Tim as her soft-hearted saviour. She followed him throughout his tour, mewing sweetly yet persistently. Tim brought her home to Palermo and gave the whole family some terrible skin rashes.

Six months later (and multiple vaccinations and antiparasite treatments), Tim and family moved from Palermo to Oxford. We were identified as a promising future home, having lost my aged, beloved James back in November.

Now, she's been with us exactly 2 weeks and we'll all so happy she's here. But Henry just can't get enough Pingüina. "Quiero Pingüina! I want Pingüi!" is the constant refrain. He took this photo of her (above) and many more.
