Freelance Writer / Editor (November 2004 to present). Recent work includes:

·         Contributing to Gridskipper ("The Urban Travel Guide"), Monocle.com (a new venture from the founder of Wallpaper*) and Time Out Buenos Aires in 2006 and 2007

·         Writing an email newsletter to promote LoMásTV—a New York-based, Spanish language-learning website—since January 2006

·         Working with Jacobs Agency of Chicago, writing and editing periodic newsletters for two clients—the Federal Reserve Banks and Acquity Group, an e-business consultancy—since January 2005

 

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Senior Web Editor (January 2003 to November 2004):

·         Wrote, selected and edited online content as the first editor of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s website

·         Managed a team of six developers through a complete site redesign, launched October 2003

·         First hired as a freelance copywriter, via interactive agency R/GA, then promoted in May, 2003

 

SmartMoney.com, Associate Editor (March 1999 to January 2003):

·         Wrote an average of three feature articles per week on investing

·         Promoted from Reporter to Staff Editor and then to Associate Editor in 2000

·         In 2001, SmartMoney.com won the National Magazine Award for “Best Interactive Design”

·         The Wall Street Journal Sunday: 20 investing-related articles (2000 to 2003)

·         SmartMoney Magazine: five profiles for the "30 Smartest People in Investing" (2002)

·         The Wall Street Journal Europe: one article on software stocks (2001)

·         The New York Times Magazine: three articles for "The Way We Live Now" section (2000)

·         Time Out New York: eight profiles and features. Of those, five were cover stories (1996 to 1997)

·         Produced investigative reports for the nationally syndicated television program

Seventeen Magazine, Assistant Editor (April 1994 to September 1996):

·         Wrote feature stories on the Oklahoma City bombing, free speech in schools and more

·         Edited two popular monthly sections, The Spin and Trauma-rama

·         Helped establish the magazine's first online presence on AOL
