I did exactly the same when I was 15. <BR/><BR/>There are some subtlties, of course.<BR/><BR/>If you only have one helmet, and are graciously (and of course, with nothing but the most gentlemanly intentions) offering a ride to a member of the fairer sex, it would be impolite to protect your own head while leaving her to the mercy of the pavement. <BR/><BR/>Additionally, when you slow down quickly, it's much more pleasant for her cheeks to meet your neck than a hard helmet.
